Implants Without Gingival Flaps
A high-precision guided surgery system created using color three-dimensional tomography (CT) and computer-assisted software allows for safe guided implantation. This technique drastically reduces procedure time and allows the patient to leave the office with the implant and prosthesis already installed. It also provides the practitioner with a high level of surgical predictability, providing absolute control over the procedure. For the patient, the benefits are numerous, such as reduced medication and anesthetic administration, since a unique procedure is performed without the need for a flap opening (gingival incision for bone exposure), with reduced post-surgical morbidity (without flap opening, there is no incidence of post-surgical swelling). The entire procedure performed by the surgeon is guided, ensuring a better final result. One of the advantages is aesthetic predictability, as a pre-planned surgery allows for the prosthetic phase to be planned.
As an example of its gentleness, with the Piezosonic it is possible to remove the shell of a fresh egg without piercing the membrane that is immediately below the shell.
One of the new technologies allows for millimeter-precise cutting of hard tissue while protecting the surrounding soft tissue (gums), reducing trauma, swelling, and postoperative pain . It also favors other biological factors through the "cavitation" mechanism, i.e., ultrasonic vibration throughout the gums through water molecules. This reduces bleeding during the procedure, thus improving visualization of the surgical field, making the surgery cleaner and faster. Its immediate advantage is its high efficiency and low cost.
